Initial Payment |
An initial payment, typically 50% of the contract sum is due upon receipt of contract. |
Any inventory required can be organised, but should be ordered well in advance to avoid delays. Prices available on request. |

Paperwork |
As a minimum, we require copies of boat registration papers, insurance and a letter of authority from the owner (giving permission to move the vessel). SSR registration can be arranged by us. |
A full pre-delivery check of all yachts is standard. A formal Q.C or handover procedure, with report and images can also be provided. |

Crew Arrival |
An agreed join date must allow adequate time to prepare, but be flexible in terms of weather forecast and travel. Direct YD will ensure close liaison between client and crew at this point. |
The captain and crew will survey the yacht using a pre-scribed check sheet. Any issues / exceptions will be reported and dealt with as necessary. |

Passage |
The delivery itself will be undertaken in as direct and seamanlike manner as possible. Any stops will be accounted for. Regular updates will be given together with route print-outs. Satellite communications available on request. |
A full valet and detailing of the vessel will be completed prior to handover. All necessary arrival procedures will be followed. |

Post-Delivery Report |
As for pre-departure, the captain will complete a full check list, highlighting any exceptions, reporting on any issues and offering advice. |
A final payment, typically 50% of the contract sum + any additional costs, is due within 7 days of handover. |

Customs, immigration & onward travel will all be arranged in advance by Direct YD to ensure a quick and smooth transition. |
